Peter Strom, MBA

Peter Strom is currently President and CEO of March Networks. Based in Ottawa, March Networks is a leading provider of video-based business solutions used by the world’s leading banks, retailers and transit agencies for purposes of risk management, security and loss prevention, fraud detection and business intelligence. Prior to joining March Networks, he was the President and CEO of Gyyr Inc., based in California. His previous experience includes senior positions at several US-based technology companies. Peter has extensive knowledge in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, B2B growth strategies, corporate governance and investor relations. In addition to his vast experience as a public and private company director, he is also an active advisor and angel investor in several SaaS startups in the areas of cyber security, risk management, data analytics and artificial intelligence.

  • Under his leadership, March Networks has grown from an early stage start up to over $100M in annual revenue. The company completed an $80M IPO on the TSX and London AIM market in 2005 and remained public until it was acquired by the Infinova Corporation in 2012.
  • Over the course of his career, he has been honored on several occasions, notably as Next Generation Executive of the Year (Invest Ottawa), CEO of the Year (Ottawa Business Journal) and Businessman of the Year (Ottawa Chamber of Commerce), and more recently as one of the Top 50 global influencers in the security industry (London-based IFSEC organization).
  • A graduate of the Rotman Institute of Corporate Directors, he currently serves on the board of March Networks and Infinova Canada and has also served on the boards of International Data Casting Corporation (TSX) and EZ Universe, a SaaS retail technology start-up company.
  • He holds an MBA in International Business from Concordia University and a BA from McGill University.
